Overview

The 6 Regions One Nebraska Mid-Plains Workforce Housing Plan is designed to strengthen the Region's housing and workforce markets, making progress toward the following goals.

  • Increase the rate at which available housing units are growing in the Region to meet workforce needs.
  • Develop a clear baseline of local housing inventory to understand opportunities.
  • Increase awareness of best practices for developing housing.
  • Help make housing development less burdensome for community leaders.
  • Attract local and regional developers and funding to multiple communities on coordinated projects.
  • Promote the wins for communities across the state and learn from each other
