Scholarships
Scholarships are available to help you pay for college and may be awarded to recognize academic or other achievements.
To be eligible for institutional scholarships you must have completed high school or have a GED and you must be working on a degree, diploma, or certificate program. Institutional scholarships are guaranteed if your application is received by March 1. Applications must submitted each year.

ANNUAL TUITION: $3,000*
*This dollar amount is based on the current year's cost of 30 credits for in-state residents and is subject to change for the 2023-24 year.
Scholarships only pay for tuition. The student is responsible for fees ($16 per credit hour).
Percentages are based on 15 credits of tuition per semester or 30 credits per year.
Applicants who do not qualify for guaranteed scholarships are still eligible for program specific and other special scholarships.
Recipients of multiple institutional scholarships intended to be used for the same purpose (i.e. tuition and fees) will be awarded the scholarship that is most beneficial. Scholarships intended for the same purpose cannot be stacked.

Most scholarships are awarded for the academic year. You must meet the terms of the scholarship during the fall semester to keep the scholarship for the spring. Scholarship selection will be made by the scholarship committee unless otherwise stipulated.

Susan T. Buffett Scholarship
Up to $4,700 per year for full-time MPCC students, renewable for 3 years.
Peter Kiewit Foundation Scholarship
$1,500 for up to 15 Peter Kiewit Scholars, renewable for 2 years. Students must be full-time and enrolled in a vocational certificate or degree programs at North Platte Community College. Contact Janelle Higgins at 308-535-3713 for application details and deadline.

If you will be receiving a scholarship from any source other than MPCC, please submit the Outside Scholarship form and any applicable documents for your scholarship.
