Position: Mid-Plains Community College seeks a positive, detail and team-oriented individual to join our Registration & Records team as the Academic Records Specialist Duties include:

  • Manage MPCC’s degree audit process and graduate list for the commencement program.
  • Manage area-wide issuance of official transcripts and diploma orders.
  • Process degree verifications and transmit conferrals to the National Student Clearinghouse.
  • Is the primary central records contact for the MPCC area.

This full-time position is an integral part of the Registration & Records team and a bridge between academic and student services, adheres to FERPA guidelines in maintaining the confidentiality of student information, and assists in transforming the lives of our students by providing exceptional customer service so students are successful in transferring to another institution, into the workforce, or for licensing/certification.  This position is primarily located on the North Platte South Campus but travel to other campuses may be required.

Position: Mid-Plains Community College is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, team player with great computer and customer service skills. This position assists the Area Financial Aid Team with the development, implementation and management of all Institutional, State, and Federal Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs. Located in the McCook Campus Welcome Center, this position is responsible for processing of Financial Aid related documents, awarding State and Federal funding, front line customer service to students, assisting with file completion, and serving as a member of the McCook Campus Welcome Center Team. Minimum Qualifications:

An associate degree or experience in the field of Financial Aid is required, and a bachelor's degree is preferred. Detail-oriented candidates with experience in finance, banking, loan management, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree; experience in education or management. Preferable Skills: Knowledge of the communities served and a willingness to promote the college by participating in community organizations/activities and by developing partnerships with business & industry as well as secondary and post-secondary education institutions. Practical experience in education, administration, or management. Excellent verbal, written and social media communication abilities, along with solid computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of the procedures used to develop college courses and training for the communities served from the Ogallala Community Campus. Knowledge of local area labor/employment market and community resources. Ability to establish effective lines of communication with all MPCC departments to successfully carry out the mission of the college at the Ogallala Community campus. Good networking skills that will aid in recruiting and developing qualified instructors to teach a variety of credit and community service courses.  The ability to communicate in multiple languages is helpful.

Position: The Director will provide leadership and vision for the Business Office of the College. The Director is responsible for maintaining the integrity of Business Office functions, including general ledger, A/P, A/R, purchasing, payroll/benefits administration, financial statements, and annual audit preparation. The Director supervises a staff of six and maintains the general ledger module in the College’s software system. The Director will also be a member of several cross-functional teams at the College.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and five years of progressively responsible management experience required. The successful candidate should possess advanced knowledge of FASB, GASB, and Single Audit preparation, a demonstrated ability for high-level decision-making and problem-solving in multiple areas of responsibility, written and oral communication skills, the ability to multi-task effectively and be comfortable working with technology. Physical Resources Department Information:

The North Platte Physical Resources Department manages facilities operations with our subdepartments maintenance and custodial. We are a staff of approximately 20 team members that work with multiple suppliers, and contractors to support the physical operations at NPCC. Required: Master’s degree in mathematics or physics with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics required. Must demonstrate ability to teach all levels of mathematics, from developmental education to differential equations. Position: North Platte Community College is seeking a part-time lab assistant to work in the HVAC/R Technology classroom and lab. This position is approximately 28 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–noon. Duties include, but are not limited to equipment maintenance, preparing lab materials/supplies, organization of lab, assisting with the supervision of shop activities and substituting as needed.

Position: Mid-Plains Community College is looking for a qualified Shooting Club Coach who has the ability to coach and instruct proper shooting technique, plan engaging and skill building practices, and oversee all aspects of running a highly competitive shooting team. This position also requires someone who can recruit high performing shooters and oversee travel plans and fund raising for the team. Experience and knowledge in shooting, safety, recruiting, and planning is helpful. This position will be filled in either McCook or North Platte travel between all MPCC campuses is required.

Position: Responsibilities include but are not limited to staffing the front desk of the Learning Commons on a rotating basis, providing customer service to students, faculty and staff, including resource assistance, test proctoring and creating individual connections with students. Position: This individual will work directly with students and with hospitals and EMS agencies across the United States to coordinate clinical education of paramedic students. Responsibilities include contract management, communication with clinical training sites, medical and EMS professionals, and State EMS Officials, site assignment, and oversight and documentation of the evaluation and progression of student performance.

A paramedic with three years documented experience in Emergency Medical Services; current State license or National Registry certification; knowledge of paramedic course content and paramedic scope of practice; strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills. Position: Responsible for daily maintenance such as groundskeeping and may assist with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry installations. This position will average 28 hours per week.  The physical resources department manages facilities operations with our subdepartments maintenance and custodial. We are a staff of approximately 20 team members that work with multiple suppliers, and contractors to support the physical operations at NPCC. Daily activities in our department include facilitating building repairs, groundskeeping, vehicle maintenance, fleet management, implementing facilities improvements, and receiving shipments to name a few. Position: McCook Community College is seeking a part-time teacher to work with local high school students for career exploration in the area Welding Technology. This position is approximately six hours per week, M – TH 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. and will follow a traditional high school calendar.

Duties include but are not limited to teaching high school students basic welding techniques, working with full-time faculty to determine appropriate teaching activities, and encouraging high school students to pursue a career in welding.

Qualified persons are required to hold a current CDL License, a clean driving record and a minimum of at least 1-year of driving experience. Behind the Wheel and Range instructors will assist instruction of Behind the Wheel and Range training to the students at the Mid-Plains Community College Entry Level Driver Training program. Hours are flexible, instruction on the driving pad can happen daytime, evenings and weekends depending on your availability. Pay is $25.00 per hour.

Bachelor's Degree in a Health or Education related field and 4 years full-time occupational experience as a dental assistant to include at least 2 years as a chairside assistant. This experience must have been within the last 5 years if not currently teaching in an ADA CODA accredited dental assisting program. Additional Requirements: Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), Graduate of ADA CODA Accredited Dental Assisting Program, current CPR for Healthcare Provider, current immunizations for clinical participation and be able to meet the technical standards for the program.
