NPCC to host Concert Pianist Mark Valenti Oct. 3

The North Platte Community College Music Department will host concert pianist Mark Valenti at 7 p.m. Oct. 3 in the McDonald-Belton Theater on South Campus, 601 W. State Farm Rd.

Valenti has performed solo recitals across the United States and internationally in France, Belgium, Hungary and Luxembourg. He has performed for former First Lady Barbara Bush and appeared live on Chicago’s WFMT classical radio. His jazz credits include performances with Gregory Hines, Frank Foster and Al Grey.

Valenti holds music degrees from Northwestern University and the Philadelphia Musical Academy and has taught at universities and music institutes in the United States and France. He currently teaches privately in Chicago.

The concert is free and open to the public.
