NPCC & NPCP Announce Open Auditions for 2026–2027 Musical Season

North Platte Community Playhouse (NPCP) and North Platte Community College (NPCC) are joining forces for the 2026–2027 musical season, with open auditions for three exciting productions set for Sept. 14–16 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Canteen Room of the Fox Theatre, 301 E. 5th Street, North Platte.

Whether you’re an experienced performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, NPCP and NPCC invite you to be part of this year’s musical season. With three productions and roles for a wide range of ages and experience levels, there’s a place for everyone.

Individuals may audition for one, two or all three productions at once. A prepared song is preferred but not required. All three directors and musical directors will be present at each audition.

Additional auditions will be held for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and My Fair Lady, and casting will be finalized approximately one week before rehearsals begin. (Audition and rehearsal dates are subject to change.)

If you are unable to attend the Sept. auditions but would like to be considered for a role, please contact the director of the musical you are interested in or call the NPCP main office, 308-532-8559, to submit your information.

Through their continued partnership, NPCC and NPCP are providing a shared stage for students, community members and theater enthusiasts while expanding opportunities to experience live musical theater in North Platte.

• Rehearsals begin: Dec. 18
• Casting needs: 2 women, 4 men, and 8 extras
• Second auditions: Nov. 23–24, 2026

My Fair Lady
Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner; Music by Frederick Loewe
Directed by Bea Webster

• Performances: April 9–11 and 16–18
• Rehearsals begin: Late February
• Casting needs: 6 women, 10 men and an ensemble
• Second audition: Feb. 16, 2027

Cutline: Lane Swedberg and Nikki Schmidt perform in last season’s NPCC & NPCP collaborative musical production of “Next to Normal”. Open auditions for the 26-27 musical season will be Sept. 14–16 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fox Theatre.
