Sophomore Recital to feature Trenton Emmons
North Platte Community College sophomore Trenton Emmons will perform his Sophomore Graduation Recital Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at the McDonald-Belton Theater on the NPCC South Campus, 601 W State Farm Rd.
The recital is a requirement to receive an Associate of Fine Arts – Music. Emmons will play 10 pieces using a baritone, alto or tenor saxophone and will be accompanied by his music teachers. It is free and open to the public.
All are welcome following the performance to a reception in the fireplace area.
About Emmons
Emmons is a McCook native and received his Associate of Science from Mid-Plains Community College in the spring of 2022.
Upon joining choir and band during that time he discovered that he wanted to make music his career, so he enrolled in classes at NPCC to earn an Associate of Fine Art – Music. He is on track to complete his degree in the spring of 2025.
“Music is one of the biggest parts of my life,” Emmons said. “It’s helped me meet a lot of great people and do a lot of great things.”
His favorite part of being a student at MPCC include trips to music competitions and playing for an audience. Emmons hopes to be a music teacher for elementary or high school in the future.
