Bales named NPCC Business Student of the Month

Samantha Bales has been selected as North Platte Community College’s Business Student of the Month for October.

Bales graduated from North Platte High School in 2023. She is the daughter of Eddie and Jenni Bales. She chose to attend NPCC because she wanted to stay close to home while in school.

“The instructors are the best part of MPCC because they are very knowledgeable about what to teach and very kind and helpful,” Bales said of her experience.

Business instructor Jean Condon nominated Bales for the Student of the Month recognition.

“As a college instructor, I appreciate Sam’s hard work, commitment to excellence and dedication to her course work. These traits are a real asset in a college student,” said Condon.  “She is kind, thoughtful and works well with other students. She will be an excellent employee upon her graduation from college.”

Bales is studying business accounting and business administration at NPCC. She’s on track to graduate in the spring of 2025.

“After I graduate college, I might go on to get my bachelor’s degree,” Bales said. “I am working at CSI and plan to do that after I graduate.”

When not in class, Bales said she loves staying busy, working, being outdoors and watching movies in her free time.
