MPCC Rodeo Team encourages next generation of rodeo fans

Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team members Dalton Kunkee, of Lexington (front), and Troy Kirkpatrick, of Broken Bow (back), lead a child around during the annual Nebraska Partner Up Rodeo Wednesday at the Wild West Arena in North Platte.

Partner Up is designed to introduce children with special needs to the western way of life and to allow them to be cowboys and cowgirls for a day.

In addition to leading the children on horses and teaching them how to rope, the MPCC Rodeo Team demonstrated the various rodeo events.
