MCC announces Inter-High Day winners

Students from a dozen schools competed for more than $18,000 in scholarships in 22 academic areas Wednesday at McCook Community College’s Inter-High Day Scholastic Competition.
Southern Valley claimed the top team prize in the large school division. Wauneta-Palisade was the winner in the medium-sized school division and Hitchcock County placed first among the small schools.
In recent years MCC offered free credit hours for early entry classes as prizes. Because all early entry classes are now free, MCC was able to offer scholarships for the top three placers this year in each category with $500 scholarships given for first-place winners, $250 for second place and $100 for third place.
