Free PEANUTS®- themed Joe Cool t-shirts will be available to everyone who donates during an American Red Cross blood drive April 12 at North Platte Community College.

The drive is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the concessions area of the McDonald-Belton Building on the NPCC South Campus, 601 W. State Farm Rd.

April is National Volunteer Month, and the Red Cross wants to highlight the generosity of volunteers who ensure blood products are available when patients need them and to thank the many volunteers that blood drives and donation centers depend on every day.

To do that, the Red Cross is partnering with the PEANUTS® comic strip. The free t-shirts are a reminder to put kindness into action, and that it’s cool to be kind and help save lives.

Appointments can be scheduled ahead of time by calling 1-800-RED CROSS or visiting redcrossblood.org. A blood donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of identification will be required at check-in.
