Intro to LEGO Robotics coming to NPCC

North Platte Community College will offer a beginning robotics class next month to help area youth develop creative, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, teamwork and basic computer programming skills among many others. 

Intro to EV3 Lego Robotics is scheduled for 4:30-6 p.m. on Tuesdays, April 6-20 in Room 131 of the McDonald-Belton Building on NPCC's South Campus. 

The class is geared toward students ages 9-13. They will learn how to build a robot using a LEGO MINDSTORMS robotics kit and how to do basic programming. 

The cost is $30. 

The class is the result of a partnership between NPCC and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln West Central Research and Extension Center. 

Kate Marshall, UNL associate extension educator, will instruct the course.
