Not Your Average Theatre Group is what you want it to be. You can engage in anything from performances of scripts to improvisation and monologues. You get to work as if you are an actual theatre company, from budgeting, marketing to the final performance.

Phi Theta Kappa is an academic honor society with chapters in McCook and in North Platte.  Students are invited to join the organization when they have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours within the institution and have maintained a minimum grade point average of 3.5. PTK students are involved in various service projects and attend conferences during the academic year.

Social Justice Group is a student organization that strives to build equity and understanding at Mid-Plains Community College. We work to raise student awareness around cultural issues and provide students with a platform for change and action. We achieve this through education, consciousness raising, and activism. We give students tools to make lasting changes in their lives and communities.

Senate members, who are elected by the student body, represent McCook Community College students by providing input into College policies and College management.

Veteran’s and dependents of veterans often come to college with a unique set of experiences that may lead some to feel like they do not belong in college and become isolated. Student Veteran’s Organization is an organization where veterans can find support. Whether members are navigating VA educational benefit procedures, transitioning from military to civilian life, or are struggling with experiences from military deployment or just life in general, this is a place where they can talk in a safe space and find support and assistance from fellow veterans.

The Nebraska State Student Nurse's Association MPCC chapter is part of a National Organization designed specifically for student Registered Nurses. The MPCC chapter works in conjunction with the Licensed Practical Nurses Association of Nebraska to provide community service, fundraising, and health-related educational experiences. The members are involved with the local chapter and encouraged to be active in the State chapter. Attendance at State and National conventions are also potential activities for members. All pre-nursing and nursing students are welcome to join.

The Mid-Plains Community College STEM Club works in the community to promote interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. We host science activities for local students at the college, perform science shows and demonstrations at area schools, and we sponsor various service projects. We also provide opportunities for college and high school students to meet and interact with scientists and engineers in diverse fields.
