MCC active in several Heritage Days weekend events

More than 100 McCook Community College students and staff were part of various Heritage Days weekend activities. That included a large contingent that marched in the Saturday parade and several groups that participated in events at Norris Park and around town. Phi Theta Kappa students were in Norris Park with a fund-raising table and several athletic teams helped staff the MCC Indians Booster Club food booth.
Painter finishes third at CNFR

Cinch Painter, of Springview, led the way with a third-place finish in steer wrestling. The freshman posting a time of 5.4 in the third round to punch his ticket to the championship round on Saturday.
