Fall classes begin Aug. 19 at MPCC

The start of fall classes is just around the corner at Mid-Plains Community College. A variety of on-site, online and distance learning courses will begin Aug. 19. Students can sign up for any of them the first week they are offered. 

Payroll Accounting, Bookkeeping for Business, Intro to Ag and Natural Resources, Introduction to Soil Science, Design, Drawing I and II, Intro to Zoology, Intro to Nutrition, Plumbing, Cabinetmaking, Small Engine Repair, Leadership/Team Development, Personal/Professional Development, Principles of Marketing, Human Development and Networking Essentials are just some of the classes available. 

Others include: QuickBooks, Business Computer Systems, Desktop Publishing, Intro to Criminal Justice, Intro to Professional Education, Intro to Early Childhood Education, Intro to Engineering Design, College Prep Reading, Healthy Lifestyles, Transportation Logistics, 3-D and Animation, Intro to Information Tech, Operating Systems I, Web Design I, Fundamentals of Phlebotomy, Chamber Ensemble, Select Choir, Piano Techniques, Group Guitar, Swimming and Conditioning, History of Motion Picture, Script Analysis and Stage Makeup.

Heather Johnson
Area Communications Specialist

Heather produces and distributes press releases for the college. She began work at MPCC in 2014. Prior to that, she spent five years as the news director/web manager for Eagle Radio in North Platte. From 2009-2014 she worked as a reporter/photographer for The North Platte Telegraph. Heather has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Chadron State College.
