Public invited to NPCC spring recital

Jennifer Winder performs a solo piece at North Platte Community College. She will be one of many music students showcasing her talent at NPCC's spring recital on April 20. The event is free and open to the public. 

The talent of the North Platte Community College Music Department will be on display next week. A spring recital is planned for 7 p.m. April 20 in the McDonald-Belton Theater on NPCC's South Campus. 

"It will be a grand night of music," said Elizabeth Peters, NPCC music instructor. "The recital will consist of NPCC students performing voice and instrumental solo selections." 

The event is free and open to the public. There will be a reception in the building's fireplace area after the event.

Their instructors are Peters, Carmen Allen and Chuck and Karen Lukas. Allen will also serve as collaborative accompanist for the recital.

Heather Johnson
Area Communications Specialist

Heather produces and distributes press releases for the college. She began work at MPCC in 2014. Prior to that, she spent five years as the news director/web manager for Eagle Radio in North Platte. From 2009-2014 she worked as a reporter/photographer for The North Platte Telegraph. Heather has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Chadron State College.
