General biology is
just one of the many classes that will be offered at Mid-Plains Community
College in the coming months.
Students can sign up now for summer and fall classes at Mid-Plains Community College. On-site, online and distance learning courses are available, making it easier and more convenient than ever to pursue a postsecondary education.
The majority of the summer classes are four to six weeks long, which allows students to rack up credit hours in a short amount of time. Some begin as early as May.
Courses offered this summer include, but are not limited to: Bookkeeping for Business, Introductory Accounting I, Sculpture I, Introduction to the Visual Arts, Music Appreciation, General Biology, Microbiology, Intro to Zoology, Intro to Nutrition, Customer Service, Personal Finance, Supervisory Management, Principles of Selling, Business Communications, E-Marketing, Medical Terminology, College Prep Reading, College Prep Writing, Intro to Information Tech, American History I and II, American Government and Politics, Math for Health Occupations, College Algebra, Human Relations: People Skills, Intro to Psychology, Beginning Spanish I, Play Reading and Public Speaking.
Classes that will be offered in the fall include: Payroll Accounting, Income Tax Accounting for Individuals, Intro to Ag and Natural Resources, Intro to Ag-Economics, Introduction to Soil Science, Art Structure, Drawing I and II, Ceramics I and II, Basic Anatomy and Physiology, Leadership/Team Development, Personal/Professional Development, Principles of Marketing, Business Law I, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, General Chemistry I, Beginning Computer I and II, Intro to Criminal Justice, Intro to Professional Education, Engineering Essentials, Expressive Arts, Infant Toddler Development, Introduction to Graphic Design and Multimedia.
