Our Business and Technology Computer Science course is intended for the serious computer science or computer systems student. An introduction to various aspects of the body of knowledge known as computer science.
Topics include concepts of computer hardware and software, CPU concepts, program development and applications, ethics and career opportunities in computer science and computer information systems including an introduction to structured programming using an appropriate state-of-the-art structured language. (Replaces CSCE 1791 Introduction to Computer Science.)

NPCC offers information technology camp
North Platte Community College will offer an Information Technology Camp for high school juniors and seniors Aug. 1-3. The camp will provide a basic understanding of personal computer building, coding and networking. Space is limited to 20 students.
Engel wins bull riding at Yellow Jacket Stampede
Silver Creek cowboy Trey Engel is making a comeback. The Mid-Plains Community College sophomore won the bull riding at the Will Lantis Yellow Jacket Stampede hosted by Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D. on Friday and Saturday.
