Welcome Center Receptionist: This position is responsible for front line service on south campus, including greeting students, answering phone calls, providing support to faculty, and helping students with Enrollment Management related concerns. This position will assist students with basic needs and scheduling related to: Financial Aid, Advising, and Admissions. This position opens the Welcome Center daily, assists with room scheduling and on campus events, distributes mail, and keeps inventory and procedures up to date. Hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Mid-Plains Community College, a legislatively designated 18-county district in West-Central Nebraska, is a comprehensive, open access, public, two-year community college system that offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. MPCC consists of three main campuses, one located in McCook, Nebraska and two located in North Platte, Nebraska. Additionally, there are extended campus sites in Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala and Valentine with satellite classrooms located throughout the Area.
Associate degree required, and combination of post-secondary education and work experience is recommended. Excellent customer service skills and proficiency with a variety of computer programs and applications are essential. An ideal candidate will have excellent communication, problem solving, and people skills. Organizational skills, accountability, and punctuality are a must, as well as strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a strong work ethic. Training will be provided upon hire for MPCC programs and related software.
