Area Database Technician

Area Database Technician:  The Database Tech IV is responsible for supporting daily college operations especially Jenzabar EX. This position collaborates with users to analyze needs, develop system requirements and write scripts, queries, and procedures using Microsoft SQL Management Studio and other tools. This position will also evaluate existing procedures, make recommendations for improvements and assist business areas in effectively using the college's application systems.

About us:  Mid-Plains Community College, a legislatively designated 18-county district in West-Central Nebraska, is a comprehensive, open access, public, two-year community college system that offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. MPCC consists of three main campuses, one located in McCook, Nebraska and two located in North Platte, Nebraska.  Additionally, there are campus sites in Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala and Valentine with satellite classrooms located throughout the Area.

Qualifications:  Preferred:  Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field as well as report writing experience. The ideal candidate will possess experience with MS SQL, MS Access, Sybase Infomaker, have an analytical mindset, have skills in data mining, report writing and query design, and must have

good communication skills, both oral and written and the ability to provide clearly written and detailed procedures and documentation.
